Quality Materials

Niche Digital Imaging uses professional Epson printers, genuine archival pigment inks, and 23 mil exhibition canvas for printing. Canvases are stretched by hand on sturdy, Canadian-made 1.5” stretchers, with hand-applied UV coating to help preserve the quality of your image from sun and environmental exposure.

Signature-Worthy Surfaces

We offer a variety of printing substrates to choose from, and can custom order material if it’s not available in stock. Choose from familiar semi-gloss photo papers, Italian-made heavy matte art papers, or transform your image with a gallery-wrapped canvas print.

Scanning and Digitizing

Do you have a shoebox full of history stored on 35mm slides? Still hanging on to your film camera? What about that faded portrait of your great-grandparents on the family farm? Niche Digital Imaging can offer high resolution scanning services to copy your images from practically any source – 35mm slides, film negatives, photos, original art, even 8mm motion film reels.  Once digitized, you can easily share your images, store them for archival, or print a new copy.

Film and Slide Scanning

Traditional 35mm film, mounted 35mm film slides, medium-format film, 4” x 5” film, and transparencies up to 12.2″ x 16.5” can be scanned and developed as if in a darkroom setting.  Using scanners with an optical resolution of 2400dpi, your original images will be captured and digitized in a quality that will preserve their detail while allowing for enlargements or future reprints.

Graphic Art Scanning

If you are a visual artist wanting to create sellable reproductions  or are looking to create a digital portfolio, Niche Digital Imaging will create a digital copy of your work that retains the tone and detail of the original. Once a digital file is made, prints can be on artist-grade material that you can confidently sign your name to.

Artwork and media can be as large as  12” x 9” in size. Larger items can be scanned in parts and then digitally stitched together. Original art is best when it is flat as possible, but slightly warped media, such as watercolor paper, is suitable to scan.
